Conversions suddenly stopped

Updated

View as Markdown

Start with one question: did conversions stop on every offer, or on one? On every offer, look on your side first: an expired API key or a postback change. On one offer, it’s usually capped for today, paused or ended.

Checks, most likely first

  1. Your API key expired or was revoked

How to confirm: Your offer calls answer 401 with Invalid or expired API key, and your offer screen stops refreshing. Publishers: open My Profile, then API Keys. Networks: Workspace settings, then API Keys. Publishers: the key’s Status reads expired, or the key is no longer listed (revoking deletes it). Networks: Expires shows a date that has passed, or the key is no longer listed (Remove deletes it).

Fix: Choose Generate Key, deploy the new API key, check a call works, then revoke the old one. Networks: your expired key still counts toward your limit of one, so choose Remove on it first, then Generate Key. Publisher keys made since 24 August 2026 never expire. Network keys expire, 90 days after you generate them by default.

  2. Your postbacks stopped reaching you

How to confirm: In Reporting, then Flight Recorder, new conversions keep appearing, but their delivery failed. Publishers: Delivery reads failed or skipped_no_url. Networks: choose a row and read Network Delivery Response.

Fix: Look for a recent change. A rotated secret your server doesn’t have yet, a new URL, a row set to Inactive or an event row saved without a conversion row (once any row exists, the account-level fallback URL stops being used). Step by step: Postback not firing or never arrives.

  3. The offer is capped, paused or ended

How to confirm: Publishers: in Offers, the offer reads Capped for today with the time it reopens, or its page shows Offer paused or Offer expired. The Offer API leaves capped, paused and out-of-budget offers out of the list. Networks: check the offer with GET /network-api/offers/availability?ids=... and look for available: false.

Fix: A capped offer comes back on its own at the reset. Meanwhile, on the publisher offer page, Run it now: open copies of this offer lists other copies you can run. Drop offers that have ended. To hear about it next time, turn on Email alerts, then Offer stopped. More: Daily caps.

  4. The advertiser’s side stopped reporting

How to confirm: Taps keep coming on one offer, and no conversions follow. In Reporting, then Offer Health, the offer is listed as an issue, and View details shows Offer / tracking problem.

Fix: Move your traffic to another offer, and send us the offer ID with the time conversions stopped.

  5. Your users are being rejected (publishers)

How to confirm: New rows in Conversions read rejected, with a link to Traffic quality, which opens Traffic Quality and lists each user and the reason.

Fix: A rejected conversion pays $0 and sends no postback. Find where those users come from and stop that source. More: Users are blocked or rejected.

  6. Your account isn’t active

How to confirm: Publisher calls answer 401 with Partner account is not active. Network calls answer 403 with a message saying the account is restricted.

Fix: Email us from the address you sign in with.
