  • Non-incentivized traffic. Users who find an offer without a reward for it, such as readers of an article or a newsletter. What is non-incentivized traffic?
  • Approved one by one

Sponsored offers with a tag on every send.

Offers approved for email, one tracking link each. Put the send in sub1 and it comes back on the postback for each conversion.

Sign-up is by request. We reply by email.

Who it's for

For newsletters that sell sponsored slots.

  • You send on a schedule Daily, weekly or monthly, to a list you built.
  • You sell sponsored slots A block in the issue, or a whole send when the offer allows it.
  • You label paid content Readers can tell a sponsored block from your writing.

Not you? Sending by SMS or push instead? Those channels aren't supported.

How it works

One link per offer, one tag per send.

  1. Tell us your list

Topics, countries and how often you send. We check which offers allow email and post the shortlist in your channel.

  2. Tag the send

Use the offer's tracking link with your email platform's subscriber ID tag in sub_id (never an email address) and the issue in sub1, such as nl_113.

    Link for issue 113
    /click
      ?off_id=aff_hb40
      &pub_id=pub_afos
      &partner_id=pt_8f2c41
      &sub_id={subscriber_id}
      &sub1=nl_113
IDs and amounts are examples from our fictional world.
  3. See what each send did

sub1 comes back on the postback for each conversion, so your tracker or a small endpoint can count sends apart.

What your subscribers see

Same offer, a different tag each send.

Switch between two issues. The sponsored block changes with your writing; the tag in sub1 changes with the send.

/click?off_id=aff_hb40&pub_id=pub_afos&partner_id=pt_8f2c41&sub_id=r_20931&sub1=nl_113

Same offer, a new tag. sub_id is each subscriber's ID from your email platform's merge tag; your endpoint, or a tracker, counts conversions per send.

Tracking and money

Tracking and money work the same everywhere.

One conversion, in order: your user's tap, our click record, the advertiser's confirmation, then a signed postback to your server.

  1. Tap u_48213
  2. Click clk_7Q2f81
  3. Conversion advertiser confirms
  4. Postback signed
  5. Your server 200 OK
  • Click Tracking

Every tap is recorded with your user's ID and up to ten of your own values, sub1 to sub10.

    How clicks are tracked
  • Signed postbacks

Each one carries an HMAC-SHA256 verifier made with your secret. Without a secret, we don't send.

    How postbacks work
  • Fraud Defense

Suspect installs are held, unpaid, until reviewed. Traffic Quality lists the users we reject, with the reason.

    How fraud checks work
  • Reporting

Trace any conversion from tap to your server, or download every conversion as a CSV.

    How reporting works

Before you start

Rules for email.

What's allowed, what's yours to handle and where we say no.

  • Approval

Email-approved offers only. Many offers don't allow email traffic.

  • Your job

CAN-SPAM applies to your sends, and compliance is yours.

  • Required

Some advertisers send a suppression list, and you must remove those addresses before you send. We have no tool to scrub it for you.

  • Ask first

Dedicated sends, only where the offer allows them.

Questions

What newsletters ask.

Something else? Write to hello@affiliateos.ai and we reply by email.

Is every offer allowed in email?

No. Many offers don't allow email traffic. Your list holds only offers approved for it.

Can I do a dedicated send?

Only where the offer allows it. Ask in your channel before you schedule one.

How do I know an offer is still running before I send?

Get an email when an offer you run changes its payout or stops running. Each person on your team sets up their own under Email alerts in the portal. New clicks on a stopped offer don't pay, so check your alerts before the send goes out.

What about suppression lists?

Some advertisers send one and require you to remove those addresses before you mail. We have no tool to do it for you, so it's done in your email platform.

Does it work with my email platform?

Yes, if it can add each subscriber's ID to a link with a merge tag. The rest is a plain link.
