03Where to start

Start at the first deposit, after your checks.

The first deposit comes after your identity and location checks, so by the time your server reports it you know the player was allowed to play. In our sportsbook example it's $60, with the sign-up and identity both tracked at $0 and the first bet at $10 on top.

For DFS, decide whether an entry matters more than a deposit. The example puts $45 on a single step, first deposit and first paid entry together, so you never pay for money that sits unused. Split them if you'd rather see how many depositors never enter a contest.

Leave the sign-up unpriced. It happens before your checks have said yes.

Rules for DFS and sports betting

  1. We're status-verified

    AffiliateOS is status-verified in all states needed for casino and sports betting, and fully compliant.

  2. Your license sets the age

    The age check runs in your own sign-up, at 18+ or 21+ as your license requires.

  3. DFS is priced on entries

    A daily fantasy app has no bets to count. Report the first paid entry, alone or together with the first deposit, and leave free contests out of it. Contest rules stay in your lobby.

  4. Check your terms on rewarded traffic

    Many operators forbid rewarded traffic in their affiliate terms, and most of our reach is rewarded. Check before you start.

  5. Limits stay in your product

    Deposit limits, self-exclusion and help lines stay in your app, where bettors manage them.

A payment webhook that fires twice

Payment processors retry. Your wallet posts the same first deposit again, with the same transaction ID, and the second one comes back as a duplicate. You pay once.

Tests, events with no Click ID. A unique ID we give each tap, so a later install or event can be matched back to it.What is a click ID?, repeats and anything sent past the 48-hour limit are all free of charge.

06Measurement

Your server reports each deposit. No SDK.

  1. A tap on your offer gets a click ID

    We record the tap and pass its ID along to your store listing.

  2. It waits on the account while your checks run

    The app collects it at first open, from the Play install referrer on Android or from us otherwise. Your identity and location checks run with it saved.

  3. Your wallet service posts first_deposit

    Once the payment clears, post first_deposit with the click ID and a transaction ID. A DFS app posts first_paid_entry when the entry is paid.

We're status-verified in all states needed for casino and sports betting. Your license still decides where you take bets or entries, and campaigns stop at the country, so your geofence and age check decide who can deposit, bet or play.

Can I pay on the first bet and not the deposit?

Yes. Track the sign-up and the deposit at $0, then price first_bet. Your server decides what counts as placed, so leave free bets out if you don't want to pay on them.

Do DFS entries work the same way?

The same shape with different words. Report first_paid_entry when a player pays into a contest, either as one step with the deposit or as its own step after it. A free contest shouldn't send it.

What if a player fails our identity checks?

Your server never sends the deposit event, so there's nothing to charge. Anything priced before the check stays charged, which is why the sportsbook example tracks the sign-up at $0.

Do we need an SDK?

No. Your wallet or bet service posts to our API, and the app reads the click ID at first open. The setup guide walks through both.
