Hosted Offerwall

An offerwall we host, opened from one link.

Add your player's ID to one link or iframe. The wall lists offers for their phone, shows every goal's progress and prices rewards in your currency.

An offerwall is a screen inside an app or site that lists offers a user can complete for a reward. We host this one and keep its offers current; you open it from your app or site and credit each reward when the postback arrives. What is an offerwall?

1,000 pebbles = $1 iPhone · US

Illustration: Pebble Rewards' wall with the headline "Earn pebbles for playing". Harbor Blocks is featured, its card reading Up to 11,800 pebbles, then Lantern Run, Tidewater Putt, Fernway Solitaire and Kettle Kingdom. Tabs: All Offers, New + Trending, My Offers.

01Worked example

One player, twelve goals.

Follow u_48213 through Harbor Blocks on Pebble Rewards' wall, from the list to the postback that tells you what to credit them.

  1. 01 Browse

The wall opens on their phone

u_48213 opens Pebble Rewards' wall on an iPhone. Harbor Blocks leads the list; its card reads “Up to 11,800 pebbles”.

  2. 02 Open

    Every goal before they start

The offer page lists each goal with its reward, the total and how long goals count: 30 days after the install.

  3. 03 Play

    Progress, goal by goal

Nine goals confirmed. Goal 10 is next, with 4 days left. Time shows in days and hours, never a ticking clock.

  4. 04 Reward

Goal 10 confirms, and your server hears

My Offers moves to 10 goals confirmed. You get a signed postback for u_48213: payout=1.20, the amount to credit (1,200 pebbles on the wall), and revenue=0, what you earn on this goal.

    Postback to your server

    ?sub_id=u_48213&goal_id=10&payout=1.20&user_payout=1.20&revenue=0&placement=offerwall&verifier=…

02Per phone

Only offers for their phone and country.

The wall reads the phone from your launch's platform, or from the browser if you leave it off. Send country with every launch: without it, offers for other countries stay in the list.

03iPhone tracking

Installs that track on iPhone.

Many games confirm installs and goals through Apple's tracking permission, which a game can only ask for when one iPhone setting is on. So before a new iPhone player's first app install, the wall shows up to two short screens: where that setting is, and what the game may ask.

  • When The first Get on an app install, for an iPhone player with nothing in My Offers yet. Never in test mode.
  • Never It never shows Apple's prompt, never points at Allow, and never ties a reward to tracking, following Apple's App Review Guidelines on tracking.
  • Your own guide Already explain tracking in your app? Add tracking_guide=off to the launch.

Illustration of the two screens. Tracking and Privacy: the path Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking, Allow Apps to Request to Track, drawn as two settings panels, with Next and Close. Before you play: the game may ask to track, it is the player's choice, then Install, Open it, Answer its tracking question, with Get Harbor Blocks and Close.

04Your currency

Rewards in your currency.

Name your currency and set how many make $1. Every “Up to” on the wall follows. Try it.

Show rewards in dollars instead
Earn rewards for playing
Multi-reward Tidewater Putt Up to3,050 pebbles
Multi-reward Fernway Solitaire Up to2,400 pebbles
Single action for reward Kettle Kingdom Up to850 pebbles

  • Whole units. The wall rounds, so players never see a fraction of a pebble.
  • Postbacks stay in US dollars. The currency only changes what players read.
  • What players get, and in what. Under My Profile you set how much of your payout goes to players and what they're paid in. Ask us to change the headline or legal links; the layout is the same on every wall.

05Launch

Paste it where your players are.

A link, an iframe or a few lines in your app. Each one takes the same URL with your player's ID in it.

Your player's ID goes in uid. It comes back as sub_id on every postback, so it decides whose balance you credit.

  • Do: A stable ID from your database, like u_48213.
  • Don't: An email address. It travels in the link.
  • Don't: A new ID per launch. My Offers would start empty every time.
  • Don't: One ID for everyone, or a literal {USER_ID}. Every reward lands on one player.

Samples show the path; the full launch URL is in the Hosted Offerwall docs. A browser tab sends your app no events, so learn about conversions from postbacks. The React Native container reports what players do; we send it on request. Adding the wall to an app covers each option.

06Promises to players

What a player can count on.

  1. Every goal and its reward, before they tap Get.

The offer page lists each goal with its reward, the total and the offer's own window, such as “Goals count for 30 days after you install.”

  2. Time left in days, never a countdown.

A goal reads “4 days left”, or hours on its last day. Nothing ticks by the second to rush anyone.

  3. A withdrawn offer says so.

Players who already started see: “This offer is no longer available. Anything you already earned is yours, but new goals will not credit.”

07Built for

Apps with a reward to give.

Are offerwalls allowed on iOS?

Apple decides that when it reviews your app, and store review stays your job. Read Apple's App Store guideline 3.2.2 before you ship a wall on iOS. Among other things, it covers showing a general collection of third-party apps and forcing people to download other apps. We can't clear your app for you.

Which apps fit a wall?

Apps with a currency or reward to give: rewarded apps, games with their own currency, loyalty programs and survey panels. Every goal ends in a postback that says what to credit, so an app with nothing to credit gets little from a wall. With no reward to give, look at Offer Links.

Do I need an SDK?

No. Use a link or an iframe, or open the link in a browser tab from your iOS or Android app. For React Native we have a ready-made WebView container; ask for it at hello@affiliateos.ai. Adding the wall to an app has the steps.

Do I have to sign launches?

No. New walls take a plain link with uid, and postbacks are signed either way. If you want signed launches, ask us to switch them on: each link then works once, within 5 minutes, and is signed on your server with a secret that never leaves it.

Which sites can embed it?

Any site, until the wall has a list of allowed origins. Ask us to set one, and only those sites can frame it. If your account has Properties & Apps, a wall you create there for a website starts limited to that site.

Can I try it before players see it?

Yes. Once our team switches your wall on, open your link with a test user ID before you add it to your app. If your account has Properties & Apps, a wall linked to a property also has a Test launch that opens it in test mode.

Can I change how it looks?

Only the headline, your currency and your legal links. You set the currency under My Profile; ask us to change the headline or links. The layout is the same on every wall.

How do I go live?

Once your publisher account is approved, our team switches your wall on. It is the last step of setup.

What if I want my own screen?

Use the Offer API and build it yourself. Postbacks go to the same URL, but there payout is your earnings. On the wall it is the player's reward, and your earnings come as revenue.

Request access, then paste one link.

Publisher sign-up is by request. We reply by email, and switch your wall on once you're approved.
