Retail and lifestyle brands
Pay for the first order, not the download.
For a retail or delivery app, and for booking and wellness too. Track the install for $0 if you like. Put a set price on the order your server confirms, or pay a percent of each sale.

01Where it runs
Where your retail or delivery offer runs.
Our team reviews the campaign, then publishers can pick your app up. They join by request, and most reward their users for finishing offers, including a first order if that's the step you price.
With rewards
- Rewarded and earning apps People earn points or cash for the step you price, so a first order is a real purchase with a reward on top.
- Offerwall platforms and networks They place your offer with the apps and sites they work with.
On our Hosted Offerwall people read the steps first, so name the order the way your app does. Elsewhere the Offer API shows it in a publisher's own screens, and the Top Offers Feed picks it up once it's one of our top offers.
Without rewards
Offer by offer- Media sites and blogs Inside articles and roundups.
- Comparison and review sites Listed beside the alternatives.
- Email newsletters Placed in an issue, to their readers.
- Media buyers On campaigns they run and pay for.
Some brands want people who aren't rewarded. Sites, newsletters and media buyers run hand-picked Offer Links, approved one offer at a time.
How Offer Links work02What you can price
Most of the price sits on the order.
An example ladder for a delivery app. Change the order price, add a second order or move where this customer stops.
- A percent of each order works too. Our team sets it up.
- A $0 step is tracked and never charged. Here it shows how many installs never order.
- Send your order ID with each order event, and a retry with the same ID is never charged twice.

03Where to start
Start with the order your server confirms.
In our delivery example the first order costs $12, the account $1.50, and the install is tracked at $0. A download says little about whether someone will order, and an account says only slightly more. A booking app can use its first booking the same way.
Send the order amount as revenue with each order event, even at a set price, so your report shows return on spend from day one. That number tells you whether a second order is worth pricing later.
If you already pay affiliates a percent of each sale, our team can set that up instead of a set price. Decide by what you can defend to finance: a set price per first order is easier to forecast, and a percent moves with the basket.
04Targeting and compliance
What you set, and what stays with your brand.
Campaigns pick a country and a platform, and your own rules decide who can order or book.

Send the order amount
Send it as revenue with each order event, and your report shows return on spend.
05Billing
Orders you're never charged for.
Every order event comes back with a status. If it isn't approved and live, it costs you nothing.
first_order duplicate
An order your server retried
Your order service times out and posts the same first order again, with the same order ID. We answer that it's a duplicate, and that customer's order is charged once.
Charged $0.00
Tests, events with no Click ID. A unique ID we give each tap, so a later install or event can be matched back to it.What is a click ID?, repeats and anything sent past the 48-hour limit are all free of charge.
Every status, in the setup guide06Measurement
Your server reports each order. No SDK.
Three steps between a tap and a charged order, with the cost of each event logged.
-
A tap on your offer gets a click ID
We record it and attach the ID on the way to your store listing or store search.
-
Your app holds it until the order
Android hands it over in the Play install referrer. Otherwise your app asks us at first open. A customer who installs today and orders next week still matches.
-
Your order system posts
first_orderPost it when your server confirms the order, with the click ID, your order ID and the amount as revenue. If AppsFlyer or Adjust already gets this event, post to us from the same job.

08Questions
What app teams ask us.
Can we pay for the first order only?
Yes. Make the first order your only priced step. Track the install and the sign-up for $0 if you want to see how many people stop before ordering.
We pay affiliates a percent of each order. Can we do that here?
Yes, and retail brands are a fit. Tell our team your percent and we'll set it up. Send the order amount as revenue with each event to see return on spend. The one catch: publishers choose what they run, so an offer that doesn't let them make money won't get traffic.
What if a customer refunds the first order?
A step your server already reported stays charged, and a later refund doesn't undo it. If refunds worry you, price “Order delivered” and report it when delivery is confirmed.
Does this work for bookings?
Yes. Name the step “First booking”, give it an event key such as first_booking and report it when the booking is confirmed. Send your booking ID as the transaction ID, and a retry is never charged twice.
App or website?
Either. App campaigns send people to your store listing or a store search for a term you pick. Website campaigns send them to your landing page with afos_click_id added to the URL.
Do we need an SDK?
No. Your order system posts each event to our API, and your app picks up the click ID at first open. The setup guide walks through it.
