01Where it runs

Where your bank or card offer runs.

After our review, publishers who join by request can choose your offer. Most reward their users for finishing offers, so check what your program allows before you launch.

With rewards

  • Rewarded and earning apps People try a bank or card offer for a reward. Run here only if your program allows rewarded traffic.
  • Offerwall platforms and networks They pass your offer to the apps and sites they work with, so a program's limits need saying up front.

A customer on our Hosted Offerwall sees your steps before opening anything. The Offer API puts your offer in a publisher's own screens, and the Top Offers Feed lists it once it's one of our top offers.

Without rewards

Offer by offer
  • Media sites and blogs Inside articles and roundups.
  • Comparison and review sites Listed beside the alternatives.
  • Email newsletters Placed in an issue, to their readers.
  • Media buyers On campaigns they run and pay for.

Many banks don't allow rewarded traffic. Sites, newsletters and media buyers run hand-picked Offer Links, approved one offer at a time.

How Offer Links work

02What you can price

Small at sign-up, most at the deposit.

Three example ladders, one each for a bank, a broker and a card. Change a price, add a step or move where this customer stops.

  • There's no default deadline from the tap. A deposit that lands weeks later still counts.
  • Deposit events carry your transaction ID, so each deposit is charged once.
  • A percent of each sale works too. Our team sets it up.

03Where to start

Start with the event compliance trusts.

Price the event that proves a real customer. For a bank that's the direct deposit, at $120 in our example. The sign-up at $2 and the identity check at $5 stay small, and they show you where people stop.

For investing, the example puts $40 on the funded account and $15 on the first trade, since a funded customer who hasn't traded yet still has money with you. For credit, the approval is the event that matters: it tracks the application at $0 and pays $60 on the approved card, so you never pay for people your own decision turned down.

Whichever you pick, your server sends the event after your own checks pass. The approval decision stays yours.

04Targeting and compliance

What you set, and what stays with compliance.

Campaigns choose countries and platforms. Your own checks decide who can open an account or get credit.

Rules for banking, investing and credit

  1. Your words, reviewed

People see your step names as you write them, so use wording your compliance team has approved.

  2. Disclosures live on your page

Rates, bonus terms and lending disclosures belong on your landing page, where your compliance team controls them.

  3. Rewarded traffic, or not

If your program forbids rewarded traffic, tell us before launch.

05Billing

Deposits you're never charged for.

Your server gets a status for each deposit it reports. An approved live event is the only kind that charges, so a stale export can't run up your bill.

direct_deposit outside_window

A deposit reported days late

A weekly export sends a deposit five days after it landed. Its timestamp is past the 48-hour limit, so it's logged and not charged. Post from the job that sees the deposit clear, and it counts.

Charged $0.00

Tests, events with no Click ID. A unique ID we give each tap, so a later install or event can be matched back to it.What is a click ID?, repeats and anything sent past the 48-hour limit are all free of charge.

Every status, in the setup guide

06Measurement

Your server reports each deposit. No SDK.

How a tap becomes a charged deposit, and a log that shows each step's cost.

  1. The tap lands with afos_click_id

We add it to your landing page URL, so it reaches your application form.

  2. Your site saves it on the application

Store the click ID with the visitor, then carry it to the customer record once they're signed in. A deposit weeks later can still match it.

  3. Your core system triggers the post

Once the money clears, your server posts direct_deposit or funded_account with the click ID. Deposit events also carry your transaction ID.

08Questions

What finance teams ask us.

Deposits can take weeks. Will they still count?

Yes. There's no default deadline counted from the tap: the click ID stays saved on the customer, and the deposit matches whenever it lands. Send each event within 48 hours of when it happened, or it's logged as outside_window and not charged.

Can you keep my offer away from casino offers?

Not with a setting on your side today. Publishers choose which offers they show, so we can't promise yours never appears beside a casino offer.

Can I pay on an approved card and not the application?

Yes. Track the application at $0 and put the price on the approval. Your server sends the approval event once your decision is made, so declined applicants cost you nothing.

Can we wait until identity checks pass?

Yes. Leave everything before kyc_passed at $0, or make it your first priced step. We never see the check itself, only the event your server sends once it has passed.

Can I pay a percent instead of a set price?

Yes. Tell our team the percent you want to pay on each sale, and we'll set it up, since the campaign screen prices steps in dollars. Send the sale amount as revenue for return on spend. Publishers choose what they run, so an offer that doesn't let them make money won't get traffic.

Can I run on a website instead of an app?

Yes. Website campaigns add afos_click_id to your application page URL. Save it with the visitor or the signed-in customer, and send it back from your server with each event.
