What your publishers can and can't see

Updated

View as Markdown

Your publishers see each offer they can run, with the advertiser’s brand, its targeting and what each step pays them, and reports on their own traffic. They never see what an offer pays your network, your margin, other publishers’ numbers or where a marketplace offer comes from.

What a publisher sees

WhatDetails
Each offerThe advertiser’s brand name, the offer’s title, description and images, categories, platforms, countries and how it’s tracked
What it pays themEach step’s payout at their own rate, in USD. Where an offer sets a player reward, they see that too.
Their tracking linkReady for their user’s ID in sub_id
Their own reportsReporting (Offer Performance, Offer Health, Flight Recorder, Advertiser Health and Traffic Quality) and Conversions, for their own clicks, conversions and earnings
Their postbacksA postback to their own URL for each of their conversions, with their payout

What a publisher never sees

WhatWhy it matters to you
What the offer pays your networkEvery amount they get is already at their rate
Your marginThe difference between the two never appears on their side
Where a marketplace offer comes fromNo supplier name, upstream offer ID or source on any offer, report or postback
Other publishersEach publisher’s reports cover its own traffic only

On your own direct offers they do see the advertiser’s brand name, because it’s part of the offer.

What advertisers see of your network

AdvertiserWhat they see
An advertiser on the marketplaceYour publishers’ traffic as channel codes, with conversions and spend for each. Never your network’s or your publishers’ names.
An advertiser you connect to one of your direct campaignsYour network’s name, and the campaign’s conversions, spend and reversals. Your publishers stay channel codes. Never your publisher payouts or your margin.

A channel code is different for each advertiser, so two advertisers can’t compare notes on the same publisher.

Postback. A request we send to your server when a conversion happens, so you can credit the user. What is a postback?
Masked channel. A traffic source shown to an advertiser under a code instead of the publisher's name. What is a masked channel?
