# Add an app or website

Account, team and security · For publishers · Updated 30 October 2026
Web version: https://www.affiliateos.ai/help/account/add-app-or-website

Register each app or site as its own asset so it gets its own tracking link, signing secret and postbacks, and its numbers stay separate in your reports. Your left menu shows **Assets**, or **Properties & Apps** if we've turned that on for your account; follow the part below that matches.

## Before you start

- Your role is Manager, Admin or Owner. Analysts can see assets but can't add them.
- For an app, its bundle ID (iOS) or package name (Android). For a site, its HTTPS address.

## If your menu shows Assets

### Assets, then Register asset

Register one asset per product, or one per platform if you want iOS and Android reported apart. Traffic that doesn't name an asset keeps going through the **Default** asset, so nothing you run today changes.

### Name it, then Create

Use a name you'll recognize in reports, such as Pebble Rewards iOS. Choose **Create**, and the new asset's page opens.

### Copy its tracking link

The **Tracking link** card gives the link for this asset. Copy it as it is and replace `{SUB_ID}` with your user's ID, or type an ID to try it and choose **Copy link**. If the card says tracking isn't configured yet, [ask us](https://www.affiliateos.ai/contact?topic=support) to turn it on for this asset.

### Generate secret

In the **Signing secret** card, an Owner or Admin chooses **Generate secret** and copies it: it's shown once. This asset's postbacks are signed with it. **Rotate** replaces it later; the old secret stops validating at once.

### Manage postbacks

Choose **Manage postbacks** to add postback URLs for this asset only.

### Check it worked

Back on **Assets**, the new row lists what it holds, such as Custom tracking, Secret and the number of postbacks. A row that reads Inherits default holds nothing of its own yet.

## If your menu shows Properties & Apps

### Properties & Apps, then New property

The list starts with **Account default**, tagged **Fallback**: traffic, Offer API calls and wall launches that don't name a property keep landing there. Adding a property changes none of your current links, keys or postbacks.

### Type

Choose **Website**, **iOS app** or **Android app**.

### Details

Fill in **Property name**, then **Website URL** (HTTPS), **Bundle ID** or **Package name**. Apps can add a **Store URL**, and any property an **Icon**; both are optional.

### Integrations

Pick one or more: **Tracking Links**, **Offer API** or **Hosted Offerwall**. You can add another later.

### Configure

Tracking Links need nothing more. For the Offer API your keys stay as they are; requests for this property add its `property_id`. For the Hosted Offerwall, create a new wall setup, use one you already have or choose to configure it later. Only an Owner or Admin can finish a wall setup; until then the property shows **Needs setup**.

### Review, then Create property

Check the summary and choose **Create property**. If you created a new wall, copy the offerwall secret now: it's shown once.

### Check it worked

The property appears in **Properties & Apps**. Open it, then **Integrations**, to copy the links or wall instructions it uses.

> **Your account's API keys cover every asset.** Keys belong to the account, not to an asset or a property. Add `property_id` to an Offer API request and the tracking links that come back carry that property.
